 – GOODGOING CLASSIC MARY
LITTER

Last year Mary had a litter with Laddie, a small litter, only one female pup.  She was very sharp and outgoing, with her mothers personality.  Laddie has also produced a couple of other very nice litters.  This will be Mary’s third litter.  Her first was with GGI Classic Blue.  She is quickly proving herself as a producer of great Classic Setters.

These pups will have excellent classic looks and also standout in the area of natural hunting ability.  Their desire and talent for hunting will be evident at a young age.  

CHIEFTAIN OF HIGHMOOR, CDX, JH “LADDIE”:

Laddie has all of the traits we look for in a Classic Setter.  He has great desire to hunt, yet he is sensible and very trainable.  He has great natural talent for pointing and retrieving.  His owners, John and Sandy Hudson, of River Falls , WI compete with him in AKC hunt tests and obedience trials.

In pursuit of his Companion Dog Title: Front and Finish Platinum Award winner, (First three scores 195/200 or higher).  English Setter Association of America National Specialty High In Trial Winner 2005, Minnesota English Setter Club High In Trial winner both days in 2005.  Winner of the National Award by the English Setter Club of America for Novice Obedience in 2005 (Winnie Hansen Award).  Winner of the Minnesota English Setter Club Obedience Award in 2005. Winner of the Marly Whiting Canine College Novice Obedience Award in 2005 this is an all breed award.  He was rated number one Novice English Setter by First and Formost and Delany ratings, again National award rating systems open to all English Setters not necessarily those belonging to the parent clubs.

He completed his Companion Dog Excellent C.D.X. title and I have just received notice that he is ranked nationally in the top ten Open competition dogs.

Laddie is in training with Jason Gooding, through Jason's private lesson program.  He has earned an AKC Junior Hunter title and is now going for the Master Hunter title.   

He is also in training with Marly Whiting of Canine College Richfield MN working toward his Utility Dog title. He has been owner handled to all his titles.  Laddie is CHIC certified and is in the OFA thyroid registry.

Jason has also help in the training of LAIRD OF HIGHMOOR “JAMIE” since he was a young dog.  He has been exciting to watch develop and has turned in to a very solid bird dog.  He also takes training well.  His owner Sandy Hudson has put a Master Hunter title and a UD obedience title on him.  Jamie comes from a solid back ground of hunters and dogs of sound health.    

GOODGOING CLASSIC MARY:

MARY is a tireless hunter with great ability for finding and pointing birds.  She began showing great potential at a young age and is developing very well.  She has a square and solid build.  One of Mary’s best features is her pleasant personality.

Mary is from our very successful outcross to GOODGOING BRANNIGAN.  BRANNIGAN has been a tremendous addition to our Classic line.  4xCH BRANNIGAN, one of the most notable of all the Smith Champions, was a great winner and produced many great champions, including CH Barnum (1984 TSDA Wr.), CH Grandeur (1990 TSDA Wr.), CH Flair, CH Master Craftsman, CH Tradition and CH Private Ryan.  

ABBY, ABRA and ABBIE have been a strong producing female line.  They have all been strong natural bird dogs that have developed early.  They have also been some of our top producers and we look for Mary to follow in their footsteps.                                                             

AMES was a true star in our Classic Setter program.  He has produced over 20 litters, with outstanding results.  His pups have developed early and have turned into exceptional bird dogs.  JUDY’S breeding is 100% Ryman.  She made many great contributions and can be found in all of our Classic pedigrees.  PUSKER was an excellent gun dog and made a great cross with our original Ryman line.  His pedigree is made up of a great percentage of Ryman breeding.  CLASSIC AUTUMN ASPEN is bred in Ryman and Old Hemlock lines and has earned a reputation as a great sire.
