GOODGOING WABASHA “CHIEF” is an exciting young prospect by Louie and Annie. Both of these dogs have proven to be great producers over the several litters they have each had. We are looking for Chief to follow in their steps. He will start siring litters in the summer of 2007. Chief is a solid built and athletic dog. He has great desire to work and find birds, along with incredible style. Currently Chief is in Jerry Kolter’s string and is being developed to compete in cover dog trials on grouse and woodcock. He has had extensive experience on Texas Quail, North Dakota Sharptails and Wisconsin Grouse. He is showing great potential and looks to have a future as a competitive trial dog.
GOODGOING LOUIE has been a great addition to our breeding program. He has a top-flight pedigree, while possessing a warm personality and an easy handling style. His litters are looking very nice in the way of personality and natural ability and it is even more exciting to see how well they are developing into fine young bird dogs.
HAMILTON’S BLUE DIAMOND was named winner of the ’97 Bill Colin Setter S.D. Derby Award and the ’97 Elwin G. Smith S.D. Award. In 1998 he again won the Elwin G. Smith S.D. Award, along with the Top Shooting Dog Award. He has also sired many great setters, including the Smith Setter, 2xCH High Mark.
HICKS RISING SUN won the John S. O’Neall Sr., English Setter Award in 1994 and 1996. His brother CH Skidrow Joe won it in 1993 and his half brother CH Desert Rambler in 1995. HICKS RISING SUN enjoyed a lifetime of winning major trials. It began when he was a year old with many Derby wins and placements, through winning his last Championship at age 10. In 1999 he was inducted into the Field Trial Hall of Fame.
SOUTHWIN MIKE was twice winner of the International Pheasant Championship (1994 and 1995).
GOODGOING ANNIE is very stylish while quartered on point. She works hard, yet is sensible and is easy to handle. She has a tremendous personality. Annie also consistently puts these same attributes into her pups. They have great desire to work, yet are sensible and enjoy being around people. Her pedigree is made up of many great grouse champions.
BEEN’S GREAT DAY placed 2nd in the 1996 Grand National Grouse Futurity, along with his brother Erico, who placed 3rd.
GROUSE RIDGE BEEN has produced many great dogs, including 2xCH True Citizen and 3xCH Grouse Ridge Storm (Nat. Grouse Champion).
STILLMEADOW’S JIM captured the 1992 Grand National Grouse Championship, helping earn him the Michael A. Seminatore Setter Cover Dog Award, as the country’s top Grouse Setter.
PIONEER TRAIN JAKE is a back-to-back winner of the Lake States Grouse Championship, 1986 & 87. He also produced countless top grouse dogs, including
CRACKER JACK TRAIN. Who is another winner of the Michael A. Seminatore Setter Cover Dog Award, as the country’s top Grouse Setter in 1993.
GROUSE RIDGE J earned a great reputation as a producer. In addition to producing
GROUSE RIDGE KRYPTO, the ’96 Kentucky Shooting Dog Champion, he also sired 2xRU-CH Grouse Ridge Henry, G.R. Virginia, and G.R. Chardonnay.
