GOODGOING ANGIE is a very interesting addition to our breeding program. She has picked up many desirable characteristics from her parents. Her natural ability and desire for hunting are second to none. She has a very stylish and confident way of going about her. This shows not only in the field, but around the kennel and other situations. Angie is a determined hunter, yet runs a sensible range and has a natural willingness to please. She has a great personality and is easy to be around and a joy to work with.

GOODGOING SHARP has proven himself as a consistent sire of outstanding gun dogs. His offspring posses great natural ability, desire and train easily. Sharp is an excellent specimen, with great style. His breeding combines the best of the Smith and Grouse Ridge Setter lines. THE CATALYST won the '93 Nat. Prairie Chicken S.D. Championship. With the wild game and demanding cover, this is not an easy championship to win. The Catalyst's great great grandmother, SUSAN’S LADY BIRD last won this championship for The Smith Setters in 1969. The Catalyst also won the '95 Indiana Open S.D. Championship.

7xCH THE PERFORMER won the Elwin G. Smith Setter Shooting Dog Award in 1987 and 1988. His achievements as a producer include 2 TSDA winners, Fair Play in ’92 and Destinare in ’94. SANDHILL BECKY produced 14 winners, including 5 Champions. She is one of the top producing setter females in the history of the breed.

GOODGOING LUCKY LADY is a full sister to 3xCH GROUSE RIDGE STORM, winner of the '93 Region 2 Walking S.D. Ch., Wr - '94 Grand Nat. Grouse Ch., and R-U at the '94 Lake States Grouse Ch.. Lady is a beautiful setter with great drive, style and personality. Her breeding is made up of the great Hall of Fame Champions Tomoka, Mr. Thor, and Flaming Star . Other great champions and producers in Lady's breeding include 2xCH 3xRU-CH Amos Mosely, CH Mr. Motion, CH Grouse Ridge Roberta, CH Grouse Ridge Dixie, and CH Grouse Ridge Billyboy.

GOODGOING ANNIE is very stylish while quartered on point. She works hard, yet is sensible and is easy to handle. She has a tremendous personality. Annie also consistently puts these same attributes into her pups. They have great desire to work, yet are sensible and enjoy being around people. Her pedigree is made up of many great grouse champions.

BEEN’S GREAT DAY placed 2nd in the 1996 Grand National Grouse Futurity, along with his brother Erico, who placed 3rd. GROUSE RIDGE BEEN has produced many great dogs, including 2xCH True Citizen and 3xCH Grouse Ridge Storm (Nat. Grouse Champion).
