ELHEW POWER STROKE “TURBO”:

ELHEW POWER STROKE “TURBO” was purchased by Rich Boumeester from his breeder, David Uphoff, on the recommendation of Bob Wehle.  Mr. Uphoff had a good thing going with Deep Creek Kate, Turbo’s mother.  She has proven to be quit a producer.  One of her most notable offspring is CH Elhew Fibber McGee.  Rich began to campaign Turbo is shooting dog trials.  In his short career he racked up 4 nice placements.  When Rich began moving in the direction All-Age trials he offered Turbo to us for sale.  At this point we had already raised a nice litter of pups from Turbo by GOODGOING ELHEW JACKIE.  The breeding produced GOODGOING ELHEW TIMBER.  Also being impressed with the caliber of dog that Turbo is and not to mention his outstanding pedigree, we were excited to have the opportunity.    Turbo has been a great addition to our Kennel as a sire and a class gundog.  His pedigree is made up of the best of Elhew Kennels, including the successful outcross to CH Dunn’s Fearless Bud in the second generation.    

GOODGOING ELHEW JOY:      

JOY is an exciting young female by our very own GOODGOING ELHEW JACKIE.  Jackie has proven to be an outstanding dam by producing great gun dogs throughout each of her litters.  We are very excited to have Joy join our breeding program to help carry on our long history with English Pointers.  She is a driven bird finder in the field, yet sensible and easy to handle.  She has a great natural talent for pointing and loves to retrieve.  

RU-CH WINGARD “Tucker” runs a competitive field trail race, but is also an easy handling gun dog for his owners Dave and Rochel Moore of Big Lake , MN .  Tucker has been a sensible dog to work with and the Moore ’s also enjoy him as a companion.  Tucker earned his Runner-Up Champion title at the 2006 Region 19 Amateur Walking Shooting Dog Championship.  He was also named 2^nd place in the 2007 Don Didcoct Memorial Amateur Shooting Dog Classic.  Both events are run at the Chippewa Valley Grouse Dog Association grounds in Augusta , WI.

JACKIE has a tremendously warm and friendly personality.  She has strong desire to hunt and great skill as a bird dog.  Her conformation and style are also hard to beat.  She has also been putting these traits into her pups very consistently.  

CH PEERLESS ELHEW JAKE comes from the heart of the Elhew breeding program. He was the winner of the 2001 Minnesota Grouse Dog Championship and was also named runner-up in the 1999 Fruchey Classic with a 6 find performance. He has proved to be one of the best wild bird dogs of all time with multiple finds in every championship.

2xCH ELHEW SNAKEFOOT won the National Shooting Dog Championship in 1995 and was also named the Top Shooting Dog Award Winner in the same year. He produced many great dogs including, the 1995 National Prairie Chicken S.D. CH Elhew Tom Fool and the 2001 North American Woodcock CH Elhew Goldielock.  In honor of his great contributions as a performer and producer he was inducted into the Field Trial Hall of Fame in 2005. 

2xCH NORTHERN DANCER “WAR” won the prestigious Grand National Grouse and Woodcock Invitational in 1990.  This is probably the toughest cover dog trial to win.  14 of the top grouse dogs in the country competing for 2 days and the best 6 are called back for the final series on the 3^rd day.  War’s other impressive wins include Capturing the 1989 Minnesota Grouse Championship and earning Runner-Up Champion of the event in 1995.   He also earned winning honors at the highly competitive Lake States Grouse Dog Championship in 1991.  War is known for being a classy running dog that can find grouse and pass these traits on to his pups. 

ELHEW DISTINCTION has earned a reputation as a strong sire of gun dogs and field trial competitors, including CH Gypsy’s Elhew Hannah. 

ELHEW DAMASCUS has earned quit a reputation as a producer of  top gun dogs as well as competitive trail dogs.  He has produced 99 winners with a total of 498 wins.  He is from the McGoo & Jubilee cross, which was tremendously successful at Elhew Kennels.
